Actor, auteur, novelist, screenwriter and director/producer, Gregory trained at London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, among his early theater performances A Midsummer Night’s Dream at The Old Vic opposite Daniel Day Lewis; King Lear at The Young Vic; the world premiere of Bent at The Royal Court with Ian McKellen; Barbarians at The Soho Rep with Kevin Spacey, the American premiere of Harold Pinter’s One For The Road at The Manhattan Theatre Club directed by Alan Schneider, and the title roles in Hamlet and Peer Gynt at The Guthrie Theater, Minneapolis.

Starring in the CBS mini-series Ellis Island opposite Liam Neeson, Natasha Richardson, Richard Burton, and Faye Dunaway, he was invited to test for James Bond, losing the role to Timothy Dalton because the producers felt he was too young. Accepting an offer from Universal Television to create his own series, he moved out to Hollywood, selling his first screenplays to Sony Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer, the beginning of a prolific writing career.

In 2019 he founded his own production company in London, all of its film, television and theater projects written by him. Going into production in 2023/2024/2025 are Strange Days, a dark comedy feature about Jim Morrison of The Doors; The Circus, a '60s/'70s TV dramedy, the Mad Men of rock n’ roll; Werewolves of London, a comedy spoof of the classic horror genre set in Soho; and Redemption, a terrifying serial killer thriller with an occult twist -- a contemporary Silence of the Lambs meets American Psycho.

In 2023 he will perform at the The Edinburgh Festival Fringe -- a double bill of Pinter's One For The Road and a self-penned comic one-man show, Dirty Rotten Scoundrel.

His father was The Beatles producer Sir George Martin.
